Author: Minnesota Medicaid Transparency Project | Last updated: May 19, 2026

Cross-reference of Minnesota NPPES mental health providers against the MN Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy (BBHT) registry finds 312 LPCC/LPC-enrolled individuals — 62.5% of the BBHT-regulated ARMHS provider universe — with no corresponding BBHT license. ARMHS bills ~$200M/yr to Minnesota Medicaid with almost no prior credential-integrity scrutiny. Referral letters prepared for HHS-OIG and DHS-SIRS.
